- 1 1/2 cups chopped dates
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick butter, cubed
- 1 1/4 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Boil 1 cup water, dates, and 1/2 tsp. salt until jamlike.
- Mix remaining ingredients (oat mixture).
- Press three-quarters oat mixture into greased 8-inch baking dish.
- Top with date jam and remaining oat mix.
- Bake at 375 degrees until golden, 20-30 minutes. Slice.
